Are you an Accidental Techie? If you can answer ‘yes' to this question, then help is at hand...
A group of Accidental Techies (like yourself) exist in other charity and community organisations in the local area, and meet regularly to discuss a range of practical and prevalent computer topics.
Workshops are put together, specifically for people with no ICT background and our aim is for people to go back to their organisations having learnt something practical and beneficial about ICT
There's no selling involved; we aim to speak like ‘real' people do, and the focus of workshops are dictated by the attendees.

The next workshop is scheduled for:
Wednesday 16th September 2009, 09:30 - 13:00
We shall be meeting at:
At the workshop we'll demonstrating how small voluntary and community organisations (VCO’s) can save money through making use of free-on-line tools which will enable to you to work more efficiently with your customers and contacts, as well as exploring the idea of having a good quality IT induction in place to ensure that staff and volunteers using IT systems, can use them effectively.
The workshop will take a look at the Microsoft Office Live environment; provide a hands-on demonstration, and equip attendees with the knowledge required to put a good quality IT induction in place.
The workshops are aimed at individuals, small groups or organisations who are either in a position of IT responsibility (such as an Accidental Techies) or aimed at people who use computers for their work, but often work out of the office, or away from their colleagues and would benefit from knowing how to share files more easily.
