Supporting Technology

This years conference took place at Colwall Park Hotel in and was fully attended by delegates from a variety of voluntary and community groups.  

Now that the conference is over the getwithit team are able breathe a collective sigh of relief! Fortunately, judging by the feedback forms, all the hard work, planning and effort paid off with everyone leaving the conference having benefited from a fun and information packed day.

 The conference was aimed at small to medium sized voluntary and community organisations (VCOs), people with responsibility for IT but limited IT training and organisations with little or no internal IT support. We tried to make the topics as broad as possible meaning everyone got something out of it regardless of their current ability. 

 The key topics included, Social networking, perfecting your Powerpoint presentations and accessibility. We were very fortunate this year to be joined by Nelson Training, who, through using comedy and drama brought fun and humour to the day whilst explaining how to coach someone in IT and what the getwithit team are able to offer.

We would like to give a big thanks to all that attended, we hope you found it useful and enjoyable and that you will join us again next year where we hope to build on this year's success. The feedback has certainly given us all a big boost and we look forward to working with all of you again in the near future.

During our Top Tip session Tim Burdon offered a ICT documentation template  This purpose of this template is help organisations detail useful information about their network and website configuration so, should the worse happen, they have something to reference when re-constructing or changing their systems.  Click here to download.
