In November getwithit put on the first ‘Fix your PC for Free’ day aimed at repairing unused PCs that required were either broken or required maintenance.
Often when a PC starts to run slowly or has a minor fault it gets shoved into the cupboard and forgotten about. It may be the case that a replacement machine is needed but more often then not they can be repaired quite simply and sometimes without the need for new parts.
In light of this we decided to offer voluntary and community sector organisations across the two counties the opportunity to bring their PC into Microprice Malvern and have it looked over. This was done with no charge for the labour, the only cost being for parts if something needed replacing.
The day was a huge success with over 20 organisations benefitting from the service and many PC’s now running at full speed.
We are hoping to repeat the day later this year so keep an eye on our website for more information.
Quotes from the day;
“Thank you very much for permitting the Ewyas Harold CAP's to get their laptops checked and 'serviced'. This has been extremely helpful to CAPs.”
“Thank you very much for putting me in contact with Peter at Microprice, I now have my computer back working, which is amazing as we thought it was a right off. I am very grateful to you.”
