Accidental Techie / Áksi dént'l  Téki

Noun [C] INFORMAL

"A person who starts off in a post unrelated to ICT, then by evolution, choice, or necessity ends up with the role of looking after an organisation's technology needs." ictknowledgebase

Are you an Accidental Techie? If you can answer ‘yes' to this question, then help is at hand...

A group of Accidental Techies (like yourself) exist in other charity and community organisations in the local area, and meet regularly to discuss a range of practical and prevalent computer topics.

Workshops are put together, specifically for people with no ICT background and our aim is for people to go back to their organisations having learnt something practical and beneficial about ICT

There's no selling involved; we aim to speak like ‘real' people do, and the focus of workshops are dictated by the attendees.
